Ok, the local entertainment scene in Southern Ohio is beginning to Boom !!! Here at firstfate we want to help it grow !!!! So here's some info about this area. Drew Hastings just bought 'the Old Opry House' and is diligently restoring it. Rumor has it a Comedy Club is in the Works. The Old Colony Theatre on Rt 62 has been restored and is now a Non-Profit organization that allows an artist to keep HALF of all ticket sales for their event !!!! Alley 21 is the latest local club and touts more than 20 big screen flat panel TV's hanging from the ceiling so you can catch your favorite team no matter where you are seated. They also have quite a nice stage with it's own lighting. Did you know that Hillsboro, Ohio was Johnny Paycheck's favorite hang out??? This is where he was the day he shot a man in the bar on rt 62. And how about Bobby Macke ??? Did you know he was originally involved in The Old Colony Theatre and still has many ties to this area ??? BTW Peter Frampton Lives just an hour away in Indian Hill (this reporter has relatives born and raised there). And how about Dave Chappelle, who loves to call Southern Ohio his home. Ok, Ok, so by now you get the point.
